H-IDEAS - HISPANICS INCREASING DIVERSITY TO ENHANCE ADVOCACY IN SCIENCE

Dr. Bárbara Segarra-Vázquez, who shared the history and impact of H-IDEAS (Hispanics Increasing Diversity to Enhance Advocacy in Science). H-IDEAS was designed to create and educate a scientific advocacy group from members of the community; address the lack of participation of minority scientific advocates in cancer research; and increase minority populations trained to serve in review panels, engage in cancer research and help in patient recruitment.
